Sahuarita is a small town about 15 minutes south of Tucson and 40 minutes north of the border of Mexico. Though its population is a mere 25,000 or so, this town grew by a staggering 700 percent between 2000 and 2010. So if you move here, you'll be getting in on the ground floor of a rather new town that is experiencing some exciting growth since incorporating in 1994.

Expansive parks! When you want a lot of space to play outside, Sahuarita will satisfy you. This town has more than 90 acres of parks, so it shouldn't be hard to find a spot to spread out for a picnic, ball game, or long walk. Anamax Park and Recreation Center is a great place to go for a barbecue, community soccer game, or a karate class. There's also the Sahuarita Lake Park, which features 15 acres of grass and walkways surrounding the beautiful Sahuarita Lake.
New housing! The median home age in this town is a very young eight years old, which is about five times newer than the average home in the rest of the US. This means you can usually expect to get a house that has had only one occupant, and of course you can also choose a new build if you want to be the first owner of the home you buy. Among the most popular streets for homes here are East Quail Crossing Boulevard and East Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard.
Community events! If you want to get to know the neighbors of your new town, the events held here make that easy. The Winter Festival and Holiday Parade takes place every December and features an ice rink, parade of lights, and lots of food. Fiesta Sahuarita is another annual event, but this one celebrates the town's birthday every fall with a water park, live music, train rides, and more.
Inexpensive homes for sale! The median home cost here is about $159,000, which is about $11,000 cheaper than the US average. So whether you are looking for rent to own homes or houses for sale, you can get a lot for your money here. Check out Twin Buttes or San Xavier neighborhoods for some great options.
A range of eateries! For a small town, Sahuarita sure has a lot of selection when it comes to cuisine. You can satisfy any craving at Mama's Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue, Rigoberto's Mexican Food, or Asian Sky. If you just want American food, stick to Pub 1922, Two Ladies Cooking, or Agave Restaurant.
